Foundations in Filipino is an open-and-go curriculum thoughtfully designed for children from multicultural or English-speaking homes. If you’ve tried books, videos, or flashcards—only to find your child still struggling to speak Filipino with confidence—you’re not alone. Most learning materials assume a basic understanding of the language. This workbook doesn’t. Instead, it offers a warm and practical starting point for true beginners, whether you’re a parent guiding your child or a learner starting from scratch.
Rooted in the Functional Situational Approach and inspired by both Charlotte Mason and Classical education, Foundations in Filipino teaches the language in a way that’s simple, gentle, and truly usable. Your child will build confidence through real-life, everyday conversations; learn at a natural, steady pace with joyful repetition; and absorb vocabulary through engaging short stories, picture studies, and dialogues. Rather than isolated drills, language is practiced in meaningful, everyday contexts—at home, in the market, in classrooms, and with family and friends.
This isn’t just about filling educational gaps—it’s about building lasting foundations. Because language learning should be relational, living, and joyful. And that’s exactly what this workbook provides.
